As unique individuals created in God's image, we are constructed to serve our Heavenly Father. A well known pastor and author, Rick Warren, has popularized an acrostic that describes our make-up for service: SHAPE.
Spiritual Gifts - Gifts from the Holy Spirit upon coming to know Christ. Heart Passion - What really excites us! Abilities - Talents & skills Personality - Are we outgoing or quiet? Visionary or detail oriented, etc. Experiences - Where have we been? What have we done? What personal experiences do we have to offer?
We are most fulfilled and effective when we serve out of our SHAPE.
Encore will help each person discover their SHAPE and a place of service that they will enjoy.

The largest volunteer force in America consist of mature adults. Today's active adults want to help others in their own community and where ever human need takes them.
Encore is our way of helping persons eager to serve to find avenues of service and ministry. Some of these opportunities will take us across the street, across the state, and perhaps, across the oceans of the world.
