ENCORE-DERBY HILL

Movement is a sign of life and vitality. We believe there is a natural or typical way we move toward spiritual maturity. Often, attending a worship service is the initial portal into the life of Derby Hill. Our desire is for worship to be practical and helpful in living daily life.  More importantly, we desire for worship to lead the worshipper to encounter God.

Inspired to know more, we believe the next natural step is to engage God's Word through small group study and fellowship experience. Spiritual maturity is a journey. It takes time, but the journey is enhanced when we grow along with others on the same journey. Maturity does not stop with head knowledge. Maturity involves the mind, body, and spirit.

As Biblical insight develops and we begin to apply its' truths to our life, we naturally move on to serving God by serving one another.

The ENCORE of the 2^nd Half of life happens as we make progress along this journey to become more like the living Christ. In many ways life begins in the 2nd half.  With years of accumulated experiences, wisdom, and spiritual maturity, our service can indeed be the encore "performance" of our lives.
